Voice AI agents: 2026 solutions compared
Callbots, voicebots, voice AI agents: offers are multiplying. Here is what each vendor offers, who it is for, how it is priced, and the gap none of them covers yet.

A voice AI agent answers the phone instead of, or in support of, your advisers: it understands the request, answers, books an appointment, qualifies, and hands over to a human when needed. Offers have multiplied in two years, from turnkey solutions for very small businesses to platforms for large contact centres.
This comparison is based on each vendor's public information, consulted on 20 October 2026. It helps you make an initial selection according to your size and needs.
Callbot, voicebot, voice AI agent: what do these mean?
All three terms describe a bot that answers the phone. Callbots and voicebots mainly follow predefined scenarios (intelligent voice menus, frequently asked questions). A voice AI agent, supported by recent language models, understands freely worded requests and leads a real conversation. In practice, most vendors now use all three terms.

How to choose
Your size. For a practice, agency or SME that wants to stop missing calls, monthly subscription offers (AirAgent, Volubile) can be set up quickly. For a contact centre, platforms designed for large accounts (Zaion, ViaDialog), or integrated with your telephony (Aircall, Ringover) and CRM (Salesforce), are often natural choices.
Your tools. An agent that cannot read your CRM or calendar remains an improved telephone switchboard. Check native integrations and the transfer of context to the adviser.
Your languages. If you serve customers abroad, compare languages actually available in production, not just announced.
Your data. Where are conversations hosted? Are they used to train models? What certifications (ISO 27001, HDS for healthcare)? Answers vary considerably between vendors.
Your calls. Appointments, order tracking, FAQs: almost all agents can handle them. But if some of your calls require seeing something, a light, label, document, part, look closely at the next point.
The gap none covers: sight
Among the other vendors studied, the ability for the agent to see what the caller shows during the call is not specified in the sources consulted. This does not prove the capability does not exist: check with each vendor.
In after-sales support, insurance or sales, customers often struggle to describe what is in front of them. An agent that cannot see asks ten questions, or guesses. Why a voice AI agent gets stuck in after-sales support
This is Vizalia's speciality. During the call, the agent sends an SMS link; the customer opens it without an app and films what they want to show; the agent sees, reads a serial number, recognises a product and answers based on what it sees. Two options:
- You do not have a voice agent yet: Vizalia provides the voice agent and visual agent, ready to answer on your overflow and off-peak hours.
- You already have one: if it is built on a platform such as Twilio, Vapi or Retell, or developed in-house, it connects to Vizalia through our MCP server and gains eyes while keeping its voice.
For data: hosting in France or installation on your premises, open-source models, no customer data to train models, ISO 27001 certification. Discover the voice AI agent with vision
Frequently asked questions
What is the best voice AI agent? There is no single best agent for everyone. An SME that wants to stop missing calls does not have the same needs as a contact centre with 300 advisers. Start with your calls: how many, for what reasons, with which tools, and in which languages.
How much does a voice AI agent cost? Public prices range from around €50 per month for a small offer to per-minute or per-conversation billing for large volumes. Enterprise offers are almost always by quotation.
Can a voice AI agent see what the customer shows? This capability is not specified in the sources consulted for the other vendors studied. Vizalia adds it: the agent sends an SMS link, the customer films, the agent sees.
Can we keep our current voice agent and add vision? Yes, if your agent can connect to an MCP server (this is the case for agents built on Twilio, Vapi or Retell, or developed in-house). Let's discuss it in 20 minutes.
