Lyon SAMU: Video Triage Successfully Piloted

In Lyon, the SAMU launched a video triage pilot with the help of Vizalia, a remote diagnostic solution.

When calling '15', patients can now use this feature on their smartphone with no prerequisites, downloads, or sign up required.

This video triage capability, live since October, makes it possible to assess the severity of medical situations and direct patients to the appropriate care, relieving pressure on emergency services.

According to the Hospices civils de Lyon, the innovation was operational in 74% of cases, facilitating remote patient assessment, providing assistance at accident scenes, and reassuring families.
