Urgentime becomes Vizalia: why we are changing our name

Visual first transformed emergency care, then customer service. One barrier remained: selling over the phone. We have just lifted it, and this new stage comes with a new name. Urgentime becomes Vizalia. Here is why.

It all started in emergency care

A SAMU dispatch doctor decides within minutes, based on a voice at the end of the line. A fall, a burn, a blackout: they have to picture a scene they cannot see.

Our starting idea fitted in one sentence: send a text, a link, and show them. No download, no installation, no account to create. The bystander opens the link, the camera turns on, the doctor sees.

The result speaks for itself: in 8 cases out of 10, what the doctor sees changes the diagnosis.

The idea came from a personal story, the accident of our co-founder Anthony Tabuyo, told in 2024 on the French show "Qui veut être mon associé ?". Today one SAMU in three is equipped, in France, Switzerland and the United States.

At the time, the name Urgentime was exactly right.

Then customer service adopted the same principle

Companies called us with a need that looked a lot like the previous one: their advisors were working blind too.

A customer describes a fault they barely understand, to an advisor who cannot see it. The call drags on and, without certainty, a technician gets dispatched. With visual, the customer shows, the advisor diagnoses and resolves remotely. Across our customers, 8 site visits out of 10 are avoided.

Helping someone fix a roller shutter or an internet box is not an emergency. The principle, however, was exactly the same. Our name, on the other hand, only told part of what we did.

Phone sales, the last blind touchpoint

Then we looked at a third field, and found exactly the same blind spot.

On the phone, a salesperson describes a product the customer cannot see. They send a PDF brochure, promise to call back, and hope. That blind spot is so old that nobody had ever measured it: until now, showing the product during the call simply was not an option.

The gap is expensive. Remote selling already accounts for 196.4 billion euros in France, up 7% year on year, or 12% of retail (Fevad, 2025).

With Vizalia, the salesperson shows the product and walks through the offer during the call. The customer sees what is being proposed, understands, pictures it, decides. On the campaigns run so far, seeing the product closes the sale in 9 cases out of 10.

Take selling a smartphone over the phone. Design, finish, colour: none of that travels through the voice. The advisor shows the model, rotates it, compares two. When the customer sees, they choose.

"In a smartphone telesales campaign run with Vizalia, our sales teams noticed that showing the product closes the sale in 9 cases out of 10. Teams that show their offer on the phone sell four times more than teams that do not."

Raphaël Louis-Marie, Head of Innovation, Satisfaction and Customer Experience, Orange

And the principle is not limited to physical products. Walking through a loan simulator on screen, having an insurance contract read live: same logic, same effect. That explains the growing interest from banks and insurers, at a time when branch traffic is falling.

Why Vizalia

Three fields, one conviction: you only decide well when you can see. In emergency care it changes a diagnosis. In support it avoids a site visit. In sales it changes a buying decision.

We needed a name able to carry all three. A name that says what we actually do, and no longer closes our story around emergencies alone.

"Phone selling is the last place where people decide without seeing. What changed the diagnosis in emergency care now changes the buying decision."

Anthony Tabuyo, CEO and co-founder of Vizalia

What is not changing

If you are already a customer, rest assured: the change stops at the sign above the door.

The principle stays the same: a text, a click, no download or installation. Your contacts stay the same, so do your contracts. Our data is still hosted in France and we remain ISO 27001 certified, with the security and compliance requirements that implies for large accounts.

You will simply see a new name and new colours appear in your exchanges with us.

And tomorrow, a voice AI that sees

94% of e-commerce companies already use generative artificial intelligence (Fevad, 2025). But on the phone, a voice AI stays blind. It hears a customer describe a product, a screen, a reference, without ever seeing them. So it only handles a handful of calls: the ones that can be settled with words alone.

We give that AI eyes. The customer shows what is in front of them, the AI sees what they see, and it can finally answer for real: identify the right product, guide a gesture, validate a reference. What it lacked to handle the call was the visual. We add it to your agent.

Seeing on the phone changes the decision

From emergency care to customer service, from customer service to sales: the same shift every time. As long as you cannot see, you guess. As soon as you see, you decide.

That conviction is what our new name carries.
