Consumer credit

Acteur français du crédit

The simulator that turns revolving credit into a yes

When a sale hinges on figures, the advisor states them and the customer endures them. With Vizalia, they show them. The example of a consumer credit provider that projects its simulator live.

Acteur français du crédit
Context

The starting point

An amount, a monthly payment, a rate, a duration. The advisor knows them by heart and states them in the right order. On the other end, the customer hears “twenty-one months”, “twenty point five”, “one hundred and fifty euros”. They try to rebuild a repayment schedule in their head while being talked to. After a few minutes, they say the sentence every floor knows: “I need to think about it, send me an email”. It is not a refusal. It is an admission of confusion. This lender already had an excellent simulator. You move a slider on the amount, choose a repayment pace, and the number of instalments, the credit cost and the total due appear instantly. The simulator was not the problem. The customer simply could not see it. This client chose to remain anonymous and its results are covered by a confidentiality agreement.

The problem

What was getting in the way

  • A figure stated is not a figure understood: the customer mentally rebuilds a repayment schedule while being talked to
  • “I need to think about it” as an admission of confusion, not a refusal
  • An excellent simulator that already existed, but that the customer could not see
  • A duty to inform that is hard to make tangible over the phone
  • Explanation quality that depends on each advisor's talent
